Georgia Governor Brian Kemp announced Wednesday that he is closing schools in the state for the rest of the current school year.
From Floyd County Schools:
In compliance with Gov. Kemp’s newest executive order and the guidance from public health organizations, Floyd County Schools will remain closed through the end of the school year. We will continue to collaborate, share information, and monitor the situation with local and state health officials to help protect our school communities and keep our students learning. Thank you to all of our Floyd County families for all that you’re doing to help slow the spread of COVID-19.
From Rome City Schools:
Based on the Executive Order of Governor Brian Kemp, Rome City Schools will adhere to the mandate to remain closed for in-person instruction for the remainder of the 2019 / 2020 school year.
We will continue the Flexible Learning Plan for the remainder of the school year.
