Rome City Schools now closed through April 10

NEWS RELEASE

Out of an abundance of caution, Rome City Schools will be closed through Friday, April 10.
Currently, classes are scheduled to resume Monday, April 13.
Flexible learning will continue to take place after spring break (Monday, April 6- Friday, April 10).
Grades Kindergarten through 2nd will receive home assignment packets. Additional information regarding the distribution of student packets will be made available within the coming days.
Grades 3 through 12 will receive digital classroom content from teachers using a variety of digital platforms and tools.
During the week of spring break, 5 days worth of school meals will be available for pick up on Monday, March 30.
Beginning Monday, April 6, school meals will be available on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. All school meals will be available for pick up between the hours of 10 am-12 pm at all Rome City School campuses.
In agreement with the City of Rome and Floyd County, access to Barron Stadium will be closed until further notice.
As we continue to navigate this situation together, we would like to thank our students, parents, Board of Education, principals, assistant principals, teachers, custodians, maintenance teams, central office/support staff, stakeholders, and communities.
