FLOYD COUNTY JAIL RECORDS

A Lithonia man is in the Floyd County Jail accused of attempting to smuggle drugs into the Floyd County Prison.

According to arrest warrants, 24-year old Maurice Carter Nixon delivered 98.9 grams of suspected marijuana and 29.6 grams of suspected methamphetamine to the Rome-Floyd Recycling Center on Lavender Drive back on October 16.

The warrant states that Nixon conspired with two other individuals, including a prison inmate.

He is charged with conspiracy to commit a felony, use of a communication device in facilitating the commission of a felony, and items prohibited for possession by an inmate.
