The Paw Project of Georgia — Brie
(470) 789-PAWS
We would love for everyone to meet Brie, a 1.5 year old lab mix who is ready for her furr-ever home. Brie came from a rural county where she found herself lost and without her family. The county shelter was so full and it was assured that she would be euthanized if she had to come to the shelter. She was brought into our program to give her a chance at a happy home. Since being in the program, she has proved her worth as the “bestest girl ever”!
She loves other dogs, loves to play in the yard, loves long walks, good with cats, good on leash and would make a great addition to any family! To check out Brie and the other animals we have for adoption, click here to go to our website and click on our rescue/adopt program.

Barkville Dog Rescue — Willa
(770) 846-8946
Willa is a medium size girl weighing 45lbs and around 3 years of age. She is a pittie mix and full of love! Willa is great with other dogs and will make a wonderful and loving addition to any family. She has a medium energy level – loves to play with her sibling dogs and go for a walk, but is happy to nap and relax on a comfortable bed! Willa has excellent leash manners (walks on a slip lead), is house trained and crate trained, and learning her basic commands.
Willa has a story that will pull at your heart. Sadly, she was found in the woods- in winter, pregnant and about to have 9 pups! Luckily a foster stepped up and Willa was able to have her babies in a warm and loving home (her pups are also being fostered and cared for). She loves to get belly rubs and cuddle, is attentive to her humans, and just wants to be your companion. If you’re interested in adopting Willa, please click here to email, or click here to fill out and submit an application.

Lifeline Animal Project — Pumpernickel
(404) 294-2263
“Knead” some Pumpernickel in your life?
The perfect recipe for this loaf of love:
– goofy young pup at one and a half (1.5)
– forty-five (45) pounds with beautiful, soft fur
– potty trained and sleeps calmly in her crate
– eager to learn and already knows “sit”
– loves her walks and is good on leash
– cuddlebug and will drape her body over your lap
– patiently tolerates baths and car rides
Pumpernickel is an absolute joy to be around. This sweet girl spent much of her puppyhood in the shelter and is quickly picking up her adult manners. She’d love to find an active forever home where she can continue to grow, learn, and experience just how amazing life can be outside of the shelter! Additionally, Pumpernickel has had positive experiences with dogs in the past, but is still learning how to work through big emotions around them. She would need continued patience, training, and time if adopted into a family with other pups.
If you’re interested in meeting her, click here to email the LifeLine Animal Project, or call (404) 613-0358 today. Click here to see Pumpernickel’s adoptet’s page, with photos attached.

The Humane Society of Forsythe County – Saul
(770) 887-6480
Hi everyone! My name is Saul, and I am a 3 year 9 month-old Great Pyrenees with the whitest coat around! I currently weigh around 85 pounds, and I am fully grown. Everyone here says I am the biggest cuddle bug around. I love all people and will let you pet me whenever you want as I thrive off of human interaction. When I see you approaching me, I will let out a low howl to show off my excitement.
I DO NOT like other dogs or cats. I have been briefly tested on a leash with goats and chickens and I was ok, but we do not know how I would do once I get comfortable. I have the best leash manners as I do not pull and will walk right beside you at a slow pace (I like to take my time). I am however VERY leash reactive when taking a walk if other animals are around, as I don’t like them. I do like to keep my kennel clean, but that’s because I am a gentleman. I love being outside and will lay out in the sun and take a nap all day if you let me. I do have a lot of fur, but I don’t mind being brushed at all – it makes me look even cuter! I am very protective of my people and will guard you.
I need to have a large fenced-in area, maybe even a farm, but I also love a family to spend time with inside. My ideal home would be with an experienced Great Pyrenees dog owner who is a strong dog handler, that way I can thrive in my new home and be set up for success. If you are interested in learning more about me, please stop by the Humane Society of Forsyth County, Tuesday through Thursday between 11 am and 5 pm and Friday and Saturday between 1 pm to 5 pm. I will be waiting patiently to greet you! Love, Saul!

Angels Among Us Pet Rescue — Doria
(877) 404-5874
Doria is a young (1-2 year old), 52 lb Poodle/Retriever mix who is looking for a patient, loving forever home. She’s a striking beauty with a calm and submissive nature whose wonderful foster family is helping her feel secure and brave around new people. While she is making progress, she is still learning and will need to continue working on building confidence. With love and encouragement, she can definitely overcome these insecurities, trust her people and live life to the fullest. Although she can be timid around new people, that’s not the case with other dogs, especially dogs who are on the smaller side. In fact, since she’s not sure about leash walking, a home with a large fenced in yard to play with a friendly canine sibling is very high up on her wish list.
When it comes to her people, Doria enjoys being close to them and adores cuddles. She is warm and friendly around her people, but being a shy girl, she would do best in a quieter home without young children. If there are kids in the household, teens or older would likely be the best fit. She’s a smart girl who is working really hard on achieving top scores for potty training, although she’s not perfect just yet, with a little more work she’s not far off. Doria does require regular grooming to limit shedding and to help her continue looking glamorous and feel her best. Her foster family knows this is a small price to pay in exchange for the companionship of such a loving soul.
Are you ready to show her how good life can be with a new loving family at her side? If so, she’s ready to meet you and bring unconditional love and joy to your home for the rest of her days.
You can see more pictures of Doria by clicking here; an adoption application for her can be found and submitted online by clicking here. Please be sure to like our Facebook page by clicking here. For more information on Doria, or any of our other available pets, please click here to email.

PAWS in Middle Georgia — Fish
(478) 227-8805
“Well, hello there, I’m Fish.
You’ve heard of a Fish Called Wanda? Well I am a cat named Fish. I’m as independent as a cat with a trust fund and as smart as a whip. I ended up in this shelter due to a comedic twist of fate. You see, I was living the high life, being fed caviar by a billionaire. But one day, I accidentally hit the ‘sell all stocks’ button on his computer. The next thing I knew, I was here. Don’t worry, though. I’ve learned my lesson. No more stock trading for me.
Now, why should you adopt me? I’m the perfect blend of independent and loving. I’ll keep you entertained with my antics, but I won’t be clingy. Plus, I promise not to sell your stocks.”
You can check out Fish, and her friends, both canine and feline by clicking here! Come out and meet us, you will be glad you did!

Tilted Acres Rescue and Adoption (T*A*R*A) – Chance
(845) 343-1000
Meet Chance, the debonair seven-year-old retriever mix who’s looking for a second shot at love! This charismatic canine is ready to charm his way into your heart! This handsome boy is back on the market after finding himself single when his previous family situation changed. Don’t worry, though – he’s not carrying any emotional baggage.
Chance is not your average pup; he’s the ultimate social butterfly! With a dog-friendly attitude (he practically majored in it at doggie day care), a nonchalant approach to cats, and a love for every human he encounters, Chance is the perfect companion. Housebroken and skilled in using a doggie door, this pup is the epitome of low-maintenance love. Unlike some dogs, Chance doesn’t require a crate when left alone – he’s past that stage. In fact, he’s not a fan of the crate at all and has a talent for deconstructing them. Give him a sturdy, heavy-duty crate, and he’ll be just fine – it’s all part of his charm.
Chance is not just a good boy; he’s the “goodest” boy, and he’s ready for another shot at the amazing life he deserves. Swipe right on Chance, and let the adventure of companionship begin! If you think you might be the right fit for this guy, take a ‘chance’ and click here to go to our website and find all about this handsome boy, or any of our loving pets looking for a second chance. Then click here to fill out an adoption application to get the ball rolling.

Paw Prints Animal Rescue — Izzy
(919) 772-9107
This week’s pup is Izzy. Shes a blue nose bully. Izzy is about 2 years old and loves people. She is crate trained and loves to play outside especially in the leaves. She likes going down to the pond to get a drink. She walks well on a leash and will stay with you off leash. Izzy will need to be an only pet as I think she wasn’t treated very nice. Belly rubs are one of her favorite things along with getting her face rubbed. She just really likes to be with her human.
If you can possibly open your heart and home she’d make a great pet. If you have a place in your life for this sweet girl, please contact Paw Print Rescue Inc. at (912) 655-6168 or click here to send us an email.
