The Floyd County Board of Education will hold its regularly scheduled monthly meeting on Monday, as well as a called work session.

The work session begins at 4 p.m. and will include discussions regarding the 2024-2025 school year.

The caucus starts at 5 p.m. and the school board will get at update on the Peach State Tax Credit, which allows taxpayers to donate to innovative education programs.

The regular meeting begins at 6 p.m. and the board is expected to vote on an $83,000 contract for new field turf for the stadiums at Armuchee High and Coosa High.

Also Monday, the 2023 Glenn White Cup will be presented.

The award is to be given annually to the Floyd County high school that’s accumulated the most GADA (Georgia Athletic Director’s Association) Director’s Cup points over a school year.

Model High was the 2022 winner.

The Floyd County Board of Education meetings are held at the central office on Riverside Parkway.
