We have some more details regarding The Varsity’s proposed Rome location.

Over the weekend it was announced that Toles, Temple & Wright Real Estate was assisting The Varsity Restaurants in securing a location in Rome and had identified a preliminary location.   

Bill Temple, VP of Toles, Temple & Wright worked to bring the group to Rome with TTW agent Craig McDaniel securing a location.

According to paperwork filed Tuesday with the Rome-Floyd County Planning Department, the planned site is at 879 Spider Web Drive, which is currently the location of a Dairy Queen.

The plans are for a 4,358 square foot building with outdoor seating.

A variance hearing is scheduled for January 20 at Rome City Hall.
