STAFF REPORTS
The Floyd County Commission is expected to vote on a Lock Box ordinance when it meets Tuesday night.
The Rome City Commission approved a similar ordinance last month that requires all new building sites to have a key box, also known as a Knox Box, to allow the fire and police departments to enter a building quickly in case of an emergency.
County commissioners will also vote on a Memorandum of Understanding between the State of Georgia and certain local government entities regarding a settlement in a suit against opioid manufacturers.
They will also consider the purchase of eight solar-powered radar speed signs.
During the caucus, which begins at 3 p.m., commissioners will discuss the budget.
The regular meeting starts at 6 p.m. in the County Administration Building on East 4th Avenue.
