STAFF REPORTS
The Rome City Commission will hold a special called meeting Friday morning.
Agenda items include an update on the PFAS Pilot Study.
After the US Environmental Protection Agency changed its advisory for legal levels of the chemicals, Rome’s water treatment facility took short-term, emergency steps, and the study was commissioned to determine the best long-term solution.
The city also filed suit against carpet makers upstream to recover some of the costs.
Also on the agenda for today’s meeting is a discussion of possible American Rescue Plan projects.
The called meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Sam King Room at Rome City Hall.
