Georgia Department of Transportation-
The US 27 BUS/SR 1 bridge over Cedar Creek Tributary has been closed and will remain so for approximately 90 days while crews work on constructing a new bridge on the road.
The project is expected to be completed in September, but the closure will only last about three months.
US 27 BUS will be closed approximately from Hillside Drive to East Girard Avenue.
Traffic heading south on US 27 needing to reach the southern side of the highway will stay on US 27 instead of taking US 27 BUS through Cedartown and follow the route until it intersects with US 27 BUS then turn north back onto US 27 BUS.
