Report: Man pointed gun at woman

A Silver Creek man has been arrested on felony warrants charging him with aggravated assault and 1st-degree burglary.

According to the warrants:

21-year-old Demarius Tyrese Hodges pointed a Smith & Wesson handgun at the victim and racked it.

He also left scratches on the victim’s right arm during the domestic altercation, which was witnessed by a 3-year old child.

That incident occurred on November 28 at Hodges’ Woodberry Drive residence.

He was additionally charged with battery, 3rd-degree cruelty to children, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Then on December 19, Hodges entered an apartment on East 15th Street and stole a pair of headphones.

Man accused of damaging windshield, fighting with officers

A 38-year-old Shannon woman is facing charges of criminal damage to property, felony obstruction of officers, simple battery on a police officer, and terroristic threats and acts following an incident on Burlington Road.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Deidra Dianna Reed smashed the windshield of the victim’s vehicle, and then resisted arrest, kicking two police officers.

She also threatened to kill the victim, whom she had been ordered to have no contact with, resulting in additional charges of aggravated stalking and violation of bond.

Man accused of threatening teen

A 51-year-old Rome man was arrested at his Denson Lane home Tuesday on a felony count of terroristic threats and acts.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

Brian Clayton Payne threatened to kill the 13-year-old victim if the victim ever returned to his house.

Report: Man found with firearm in booking area at jail

A Rome man initially arrested for DUI is facing an additional charge after he was reportedly found with a gun at the Floyd County Jail.

According to jail records:

The firearm was discovered as 25-year-old James Cliff Hart IV was being booked in the intake area.

He is charged with possession of a firearm inside the guard line at the jail.

LSD found during execution of search warrant

Rome-Floyd Metro Task Force officers executed a search warrant at a home on Lakeview Drive in Lindale and seized 23 tabs of LSD.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

The acid was located inside a safe in the residence.

37-year-old Jeffrey David Lindsey was initially arrested on December 29 after he struck another man in the head with the butt or barrel of a rifle.

Several bags and jars containing well over an ounce of marijuana were found in the home, along with psilocybin mushrooms, amphetamine pills, digital scales, packaging materials, and glass smoking devices.

Man charged with meth, marijuana possession

A Taylorsville man was booked into the Floyd County Jail Tuesday on charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of less than an ounce of marijuana.

According to jail records:

James Anthony Pilgrim was found with a crystal-like substance he stated was “meth” on Wax Road at Harmony Road.

He also had a green, leafy substance he admitted was marijuana.
