A traffic stop on a suspicious vehicle on Highway 41 near Resaca late last week resulted in the recovery of a large amount of drugs and illegally held firearms.

According to the Gordon County Sheriff’s Office:

50-year-old Margie Russell of Calhoun, 33-year-old Cody Anderson of Dalton, and 42-year-old Kelly Parks of Sugar Valley are all charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of meth with the intent to distribute, and weapons violations.

Russell, who has at least 30 prior arrests, faces additional charges of bringing drugs across the guard line at the jail.

She was already a fugitive at the time of her arrest, being sought on warrants charging her with theft.
