-Floyd County Jail records-

An inmate at the Floyd County Jail has been charged with a felony count of aggravated assault.

According to jail records:

45-year-old Joseph Lee Byrd put his hand around another inmate’s throat, lifting the victim off the ground.

Byrd also dragged the victim across the ground in a reverse choke hold.

The incident occurred on Wednesday.

Byrd has been in jail since October 31 on a couple probation violations.
