One person was killed and three others were injured in a two-vehicle wreck Saturday evening in Cherokee County, Alabama.

The wreck occurred at the intersection of US Highway 411 and County road 45 at 7:45 pm.

It was reported one of the vehicles overturned with the occupant entrapped.

One of the injured was transported to a medical facility for treatment.

The other two were treated on the scene by EMS Personnel.

The Cherokee County Coroner’s Office was called and responded to the scene and pronounced one subject deceased.

The McCord’s Crossroads Fire Department, Cherokee County Rescue Squad, and EMS also responded to assist the Alabama State Troopers who notified the next of kin.

Highway 411 was shut down for a period of time while emergency crews treated the injured and cleared the scene.
