Report: Man spun out another vehicle with a PIT maneuver, claimed to be an FBI agent

A Silver Creek man is facing charges of aggravated assault, terroristic threats and acts, impersonating a police officer, and hit and run following an incident on Rockmart Road Thursday.

According to Floyd County Jail records:

41-year-old Michael Leonard Hicks identified himself as a federal agent with the FBI and then threatened to shoot and kill the victim.

Hicks also drove up behind the victims at a high rate of speed, and performed a PIT maneuver, causing the victims’ vehicle to spin out in the roadway.

Hicks then fled the scene.
