A Rome man was jailed Sunday on felony warrants charging him with conspiracy to violate Georgia’s Controlled Substances Act and use of a communications facility to commit a felony involving drugs.
According to the warrant:
22-year-old Jopaul Dolkim Arsamiwil Atwater used a cell phone to contact another person for the purpose of trafficking methamphetamine.
The incident occurred back on Nov. 13, 2022, according to the warrant.
Man charged with drug possession
A 35-year-old Cedartown man was booked into the Floyd County Jail Sunday on drug charges.
According to Floyd County Jail records:
Landon Cooper Weaver was found in possession of suspected methamphetamine, a glass smoking device, and suspected marijuana at a location on Old Cedartown Road.
Weaver is charged with possession of meth, possession of less than an ounce of marijuana, and possession of drug-related objects
Woman charged with burglary
A 30-year-old Rome woman was arrested Friday at her East Main Street apartment on a felony warrant charging her with 1st-degree burglary.
According to the warrant:
Valincia Markita Cotton entered the Leafmore Drive residence of the victim and took several items.
The incident occurred on Dec. 22, according to the warrant.
